Martin Luther King On Non-Violent Resistance

We’re all familiar with the moving cadences of Martin Luther King’s speeches. Here we see his sheer intelligence.

History is irrefutable, the impact of slavery still felt, responsibility shared across the country. Not yet time to put it all behind us.

Lisa, My comment did not take, so I copied and pasted it and tried again, with the above rather bewildering result. Not even sure what the above words are from….feel free to delete them; So sorry.

What I did say was that MLK had so many other wonderful words of wisdom besides the "Dream" speech. Thank you for sharing these.

My gosh. We forget how articulate he was. His words are melodious to this retired English teacher. I am awestruck with the power in his message. What an intuitive, perceptive genius of a man he was. Thank you.

If anyone would like to extend these ideas into everyday life, I recommend the book "Nonviolent Communication: A Language of Life" by Marshall B. Rosenberg, PhD. He was active in the early civil rights movement with Dr King and has taught this proven process for peace all over the world.
