LPC is at A Femme d’un Certain Age Today

Today, rounding out a week of visiting and paying tribute to some of my favorite blogs and bloggers, I am over at Tish Jett’s ineffable A Femme d’un Certain Age.

Tish and her guest writers post about style, mostly from the French perspective. I’m adding a slightly, um, addled view, with what we shall call the Silicon Valley “Style Algorithm.” Mathematical functions are involved. Integrating under the curve indeed.

Please come visit, if you can. And then wander Tish’s site, if you don’t know it yet, and enjoy the company of witty and stylish women. First and foremost, of course, is Tish herself. She’s another good guy who has made good – her book will be published in the not-too-distant future. Get to know her now, and you can say, um, you knew her when.

Enjoy your Friday. I certainly plan to, because even in Silicon Valley we’ve been known to enjoy ourselves now and again.

  1. Integrating under the curve! I love it. I might be good at dressing myself after all, because, um, I can definitely work with algorithms.

  2. But I can’t — waaaaaahhh! I left a message on Tish’s site asking you to break it down a little for those of use who are math-averse or (in my case) math-rusty.

How do you weight, and then balance, your parameters? I know this is tongue-in-cheek but as a former math lover I can’t resist a good formula!

    Thanks.

  3. Oh gawd! This is worse than when my husband tries to get me to answer my questions to him by making it a a damned math formula that I have to answer. I hated stat and I only do money! Fashion and math just don’t mix!! At least for me! Yikes! You just made me anxious!

    1. My profound apologies! The legend was supposed to clear it all up!

I’m dreadful around columns of numbers, but algorithms I can manage:).
