Net-A-Porter, The Sale

Hi guys. As we’ve learned, now is possibly the best time of the year for a bargain. In that vein, Net-a-porter, the best high-end online retailer in the business, has a sale on. Up to 50% off. From maxidresses with sleeves, to chambray field jackets, to bathing suits, to block heeled sandals. Not to mention denim in all its guises

I’m not buying anything, no budget right now. But, the browsing in and of itself entertains and even inspires me. I’m highly unlikely to wear this Current/Elliot coverall, for example, but it’s a teeny tiny breakfast adventure to imagine.

  1. It is the best time to buy, but it’s not in my budget either! I’ll just head over for a peek… Have a great day Lisa!

  2. The “block heeled sandals” link is taking me back to bathing suits. (The horrors! :D )

  3. Am old enough to remember “window shopping”. So, this is the 21st century version of that. Have to say, I find those denim coveralls pretty funny. Do they come in orange? Am also not in a position to buy goodies right now. Let’s all virtually window shop!

    1. This is absolutely the 21st century version of it, only we can travel in a much larger pack;).

  4. Lisa, I have a related question: Do you know where I could get some nice loungewear? I looked on Net-a-Porter but it mostly looks like a nice version of sweats. I’m going for more a silky summertime robe (or a kimono type of thing without being culturally appropriating, if that’s possible). Do you know where I could find something like that? Thanks :)

    1. @Danielle, Hmm. I have gotten, in the past, a lot of requests to work with vendors of said products, have never gone forward, due to, not my bailiwick. But, let me take a quick look through my email and see what I find.

  5. Cute stuff but not in my budget either. I just splurged on a 30oz bottle of Jean Naté After Bath Splash which I found on Jet and paid around nine bucks and shouldn’t have done that…
    Summer survival.

    1. @Lisa Chavez,

Someone else likes Jean Nate – hooray! It’s the only thing for summer – cuts the heat, cools you down, leaves a fresh scent, and is not at all overpowering. Plus you got a bargain, besides …

  6. I do wear Carhartt coveralls because they’re very practical field & farm wear. No law saying can’t wear fashion there, but fashion coveralls would no doubt garner good-natured laughter at wearer’s expense.

  7. I just splurged on a new pair of Birkenstocks – Gizeh in silver. I’m going to wear these babies all summer long. It’s fun to look at your choices even if I don’t indulge in actual shopping.

  8. I love the Liberty of London T-shirts on your sidebar. #notinmysize

Since the clothing you feature doesn’t come in my size, I always look through the Other Stuff at your links. I can add Cutler and Gross frames to the list of items I wish I could afford and can’t. $565 for just the frame. Good Lord. Once I added my souped-up lenses (I’m legally blind without glasses), I’d be looking at a serious outlay of cash.

    Eh. I think I’d rather buy a top-of-the-line Bosch dishwasher…

You’re right about this being a good time for bargains, though. I found a good price on a desperately needed new swimsuit at Macy’s, of all places.

    1. @Wendelah, I do love a good stainless steel interior dishwasher:). And I will try harder to include size variety, thanks for the nudge.

  9. I kid you not, I had those very same sandals (sans beads and laces in the back instead of a zip) back in 1984, purchased from the long-gone Ravels, and I think about them to this day. They were the most comfortable summer shoe I had ever owned and I wore them out in two summers, sigh.

    Thanks for the memories.
