Links To My 8 Favorites Among Victoria Beckham’s Collaboration With Target

And here are links to my 8 favorites in the Beckham/Target lookbook. Am very curious to see how these work when implemented in real fabrics in real life. All polyesters are not the same. Note that most pieces are available in both plus and standard sizes.

  1. White shift with kooky black flowers
  2. Shiny calla lily top and pants
  3. Embroidered “Marigold” tank
  4. Bee jacket
  5. Scalloped tank (lotta lotta scallops as decorative motifs)
  6. Black dress with white collar
  7. Little girl 100% cotton dress in a tea party print
  8. Baby black and white daisies on 100% cotton jammies

I might just like the kids’ clothes best, now that I think about it.

@Jane, Such a great print. Note: I saw the pants in store, they are track pants!

  • Your #6 selection caused a sharp moment of recognition, a memory I’d apparently stored away exactly 50 years ago upon seeing Catherine Deneuve wear a strikingly similar dress in “Belle de Jour.” I loved CD in that dress on sight, went home from the theatre, designed and made one exactly like it for myself!

CD wearing the dress in a vintage still from the film:

@Kathy, Unfortunately they didn’t have any of the cotton kids’ dresses in my local Target or I would report back.

  • Well, we know for sure you’ll tell us honestly how it all worked out… and I promise not to say “I told you so”…

@Dalit Fresco, OK, so this isn’t Loro Piana cotton pique or slik charmeuse but it is good quality polyester ponte knit most of it. I was happily surprised.

I came home with nothing, however, because much as I was OK with the quality the looks were in the end just too young for me.

@Dalit Fresco, Agreed. Loved the calla lily print but, in the end, realized it did not fit in with my current lifestyle.

  • I haven’t been in a TARGET in over a YEAR!
IT may be time to GO!!!!!!!!!!
HOPE you are well and writing away for THAT OTHER CAUSE!
